How does our family register?
All registrations are done through our online system at Creek-LAX.com. The Login/ Register buttons can be found in the upper right corner of the webpage or near the top of the mobile page. All players must become members of U.S. Lacrosse to register with Creek-LAX.
Can my daughter play lacrosse?
YES! Creek-LAX does not offer girl format lacrosse. However, we do allow girls to play on our boy format lacrosse teams.
We do not live in Beavercreek. Can we still play for Creek-LAX?
Creek-LAX is based in Beavercreek, but we will review eligible applications from surrounding cities and school districts in which no lacrosse program is available for your athlete. If you are unsure, please contact us and we will help determine if you are eligible to play with Creek-Lax or provide you with the appropriate information for the lacrosse program in your district.
Is there any fundraising?
No. Your registration fee covers it all.
When do we practice?
Normally practice is held 2-3 times a week in the afternoon. Watch our Facebook page for pop-up “skills and drills” sessions. Sometimes they are scheduled in advance and other times they just happen.
What is the game schedule?
K/2 games are held on Saturdays starting the end of March.
3/4 and 5/6 games are held on Sundays starting the end of February.
Middle School games are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting the beginning of March.
Most games are held in the Dayton and Cincinnati areas.
What equipment does my child need?
All players are required to provide their own:
- Helmet
- Mouth Guard
- Shoulder Pads (Must Meet NOCSAE standards for 2022)
- Elbow Pads
- Gloves
- Cup
- Lacrosse Stick
- Cleats
**Creek-LAX is currently working to secure some equipment to loan out.
Where can I find Lacrosse Equipment?
Dick's Sporting has a good selection of new lacrosse gear. Play It Again is a good source of used gear. We have found the Dick’s and Play It Again stores in the Cincinnati area have a better selection than the Dayton area stores. Some Walmarts have also started carrying lacrosse gear.
Dick’s Sporting Goods usually issues a 20% off coupon right before the season starts. We will pass any offers we receive onto you via email and post them on our social media pages.
Additionally, many online retailers like Sportstop.com or Lacrossemonkey.com have an excellent selection of new and discounted closeout lacrosse gear.
How are jersey numbers assigned?
When registering you will be asked for a jersey number request. This is only a request and not a guarantee. Jersey numbers are assigned in mid January. Returning players are given first rights to their number then numbers are assigned based on registration date.
What does my registration fee go towards?
We determine the registration fee by adding up all our costs and looking at the number of participants. The fee covers referees and officials, uniforms, personal and team equipment (goalie equipment, goals, nets, cones, balls etc.), medical kits, practice field maintenance, indoor pre-season practice and a lacrosse jersey that can be kept by the player. We will also participate in a tournament at the end of the season.
What is your refund policy?
Creek Lax will refund all registration fees paid minus a $25 fee until December 31. January 1 - January 31 there is a $50 cancellation fee. There are no refunds issued after January 31.
